This city-centre Passivehaus scheme seeks to restore the historic terraced street grid obliterated by insensitive modern development. Developed as an 80% social rent scheme by the council, it is part of a new generation of council housing prompted by a relaxation in Treasury finance rules. . With its asymmetrical pitched roofs and perforated brickwork, the project looks to give the traditional terrace typology a contemporary language.
